The Annual Luncheon: A Tribute to Leadership and LA Hometown Heroes
With performances from The Hutchins Consort and Flamenco Arts International.
Join us for one of the most anticipated events during the WAA Conference, the Annual Luncheon, a celebration of excellence, artistry, and the power of community in the performing arts.
Over a delicious plated lunch, you will connect with colleagues old and new while honoring this year’s outstanding WAA Award recipients in leadership, service, and mentorship. The 2025 Awardees who will be recognized are:
· Celesta M. Billeci, UCSB Arts & Lectures
· Christian Wolf, Torrance Cultural Arts Center
· Jackie Lopez and Leigh Foaad, Versa-Style Street Dance Company
· Joan Braun (University of Colorado Boulder)
· Pamela Green (PMG Arts Management, LLC)
You will also applaud several Los Angeles hometown heroes for their extraordinary compassion and creativity in the wake of devastating wildfires including The Armory Center for the Arts, Debbie Allen Dance Academy, and the Getty Museum. Each responded swiftly and generously to the local arts community including WAA members. These honors shine a light on individuals and organizations whose vision and dedication are shaping the future of our field. You can learn more about these remarkable colleagues and human beings on our website here and here.
The celebration continues with live performances by The Hutchins Consort, the only ensemble in the world performing exclusively on the innovative family of New Violins, and Flamenco Arts International, a women-founded company reimagining the art form with passion, power, and artistry. This is your chance to share the joy and deepen your network then leave inspired by the creativity and resilience of our performing arts community.
The Annual Luncheon is open to the public and located at the JW Marriott at LA Live! Tickets are $75 and can be purchased on our conference registration website through August 15.
