Now Enrolling: The Newly Revamped Presenting 101
Ready to launch your career in the performing arts or sharpen your foundation with a bold, fresh perspective? The Western Arts Alliance (WAA) is thrilled to relaunch Presenting 101, the essential training program for the next generation of performing arts leaders.
First created 15 years ago as the gold standard for early-career presenters, Presenting 101 offers essential training in the core concepts, planning strategies, and practical skills needed to thrive in the field—from programming and audience development to artist support and the booking process. Honoring the core curriculum, it has been reimagined to meet this moment when the live arts are being reshaped by equity, innovation, and community-driven vision.
Spanning nine months of curated online sessions, the program offers insider tools, real-world strategies, and a powerful peer network to help you thrive. You’ll learn from a national lineup of industry experts covering everything from curating with purpose to rethinking traditional program models, engagement, and booking. Participants will also benefit from cohort activities and peer-to-peer learning opportunities throughout the year.
Whether you are brand new to the field or looking for a dynamic refresher, this is your chance to reset, rethink, and reignite your presenting practice. Tuition for the full experience is $250 per person. The size of cohort is limited and registration is first come, first served. Registration closes September 24, 2025.
