Coming full circle

I performed as a dancer in conference showcases since the mid 90s, but a profound deepening came in 2018, when I was selected as an inaugural Native Launchpad Artist through WAA’s Advancing Indigenous Performance (AIP) program. WAA believed in me just as I was ready to grow, and that gift is something I carry with me and strive to pay forward.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving on the AIP Committee to support Indigenous artists. I’ve also served on conference committees, was honored to be selected as a Juried Showcase Artist in 2024, and participated in the PADX trip to Perth, Australia for ISPA. Receiving the Mentorship Award in 2022 was especially meaningful, affirming both my artistry and my commitment to community.
Now, as a new member of the WAA Board and chair for the AIP Steering Committee, I’m proud to support WAA’s renewed and revitalized mission through both service and financial support. I hope you’ll join our circle and pledge your support as well.
