WAAliday Online Community Gathering
Connect With Your Friends at this Online Holiday Mixer
This year we will be hosting an online WAAliday Open House & Exchange! The online equivalent of our in-person WAAliday Party in Portland. This is an opportunity to connect with colleagues to close out the end of the year, and for some of us to prepare for APAP in January. We will host a drop-in and drop-out program over 90 minutes, so don’t hesitate with popping in and out as you may need. This will be an open space to ask questions, share experiences, and strengthen relationships across the field.
We will open this session with a brief orientation about WAA, not only useful for New and Emerging Colleagues, but an opportunity to understand the ways your engagement contributes to WAA, what opportunities there are to support your colleagues or our organizational mission to serve a thriving performing arts community in the West!
We will host Speed Connect, a series of 10-minute meetings where trios selected at random will introduce themselves and share about their work and how and why they found themselves here today.
Afterwards, we will have a series of Roundtables to connect in groups around a shared topic or social interest. We will host the following four:
The Road to APAP – APAP Focused Conversation
Entering the Field – Conversation for Emerging and Early Career Professionals
Anything, but Work – A Causal Conversation Guided by the Participants
Who Do I Need to Know? – A Conversation on Networks
We will close with a brief share out from the Roundtables before going our separate ways!
