HOW ARE YOU DOING?
Take a Pulse Check, Leave a Love Letter
It’s been a rough week. Late on Friday, May 2, the federal government dropped a bomb on the arts. Hundreds of arts organizations received grant termination or withdrawal emails from the NEA, and the Trump administration released their draft 2026 budget that proposes to eliminate the NEA and the NEH.
Our partners are working hard to assess the impact on organizations, and we encourage everyone who is managing a federal award to contribute to the APAP and AFTA surveys. But it's important that we not lose sight of the people who are being impacted by this and other disasters like wildfires and state and local budget deficits.
Please take this brief, 10-question survey designed to take a pulse on how YOU are doing. What are your chief concerns? How do you feel about the future? Where can WAA make a positive impact?
This survey also gives you the option to leave a Love Letter to an artist or colleague who deserves a shoutout. Who needs some love? There are hard truths to learn, and we will find them. But it’s also important to unearth the soft words that we need to hear during trying times, too.
Thank you for taking our Pulse Check.
