2025 AIP Symposium: October 13
Join us online to learn about the next chapter of Advancing Indigenous Performance (AIP).
The 2025 AIP Symposium will be presented as a two-hour ONLINE webinar on October 13, 2025, from 12–2 pm PT via the WAA website. Since 2018, the Native Artist Symposium has convened AIP artists for professional development prior to the WAA Annual Conference. This year, the gathering shifts online and welcomes all WAA members—artists, agents/managers, presenters, and producers.
The program includes a one-hour prerecorded panel, I ka wā ma mua, I ka wā ma hope (“We look to the past as a guide to the future,” Hawaiian ʻŌlelo Noʻeau). Moderated by Christopher Kaui Morgan, the discussion features Tim Wilson, Leilehua Lanzilotti, Delbert Anderson, Joshua Heim, and AIP program manager Ed Bourgeois reflecting on AIP’s history and its path forward.
The webinar also introduces the new AIP Steering Committee, launches the updated AIP webpages and Resource Center, and closes with a community meetup for AIP artists, allies, and WAA members interested in forming an affinity/interest group.
Webinar agenda:
