Kathryn R. Martin Named Interim Director Of Artpower! At UC San Diego

Martin will fill the role of Interim Director for the organization while a comprehensive international search launches for a permanent director. Ms. Martin is Vice President of Arts Consulting Group, Inc. (ACG) and has extensive experience in arts management services, strategic fundraising & messaging, organizational effectiveness, action plan development and implementation, transition planning and nonprofit mergers. “Providing Interim Management to arts and culture organizations is some of the most impactful work I do, and that ACG does across the U.S.,” said Ms. Martin. “As a professional Interim, the dynamics of leading an organization during a time of strategic transition can be exhilarating – as groups of passionate people work together to achieve a common goal. In some cases it can be a turn-around situation, or to address issues required to ready the organization for the permanent Director’s arrival, or – in the case of UCSD’s ArtPower! – to continue to build upon and advance the organization’s momentum and success."
