Cornish’s Kent Devereaux Named Next President of NHIA

Kent Devereaux, Music Department Chair of Cornish College of the Arts has been named President of The New Hampshire Institute of Art’s Board of Trustees.

Cornish reports, "'We appreciate all of Kent’s contributions to Cornish and wish him the very best in his new position,' said President Nancy J. Uscher. 'We’re also delighted to note that Kent is an alumnus of Cornish and the first, we believe, to become a college president.'"

"'Leaving Cornish and Seattle is bittersweet, because I’ve absolutely loved my time here. I’m also proud of the fact that during my seven years here we were able to substantially increase applications to the undergraduate music program, launch the new summer program for middle school and high school students, found the College’s first post-baccalaureate program in early music, and start a new annual youth jazz festival—the Seattle Jazz Experience! It’s been great,' said Devereaux."

Production Coordinator Megan Campbell-Miller will take over programming for Cornish's presenting series.
