Inside the Emerald City

The Seattle Convention and Visitor’s Bureau welcomes the WAA delegation to Seattle! Here you’ll find a vibrant, sophisticated metropolis surrounded by pristine natural beauty and abundant recreation.

Fun Fact: Dale Chihuly, Tacoma native, world renowned glass artist and founder of the prestigious Pilchuck Glass School, was the first person to be proclaimed a "Living National Treasure" by President George Bush in 1992. Downtown Seattle is easily walkable and waiting to be explored. Here's a list of restaurants within steps of the Sheraton Hotel. Seattle itself is surrounded by pristine waterways, two mountain ranges and three national parks. To the west lies the only temperate rain forest in the continental U.S. To the east, a world-class wine region.
