Most conference activities, including the Resource Room, will take place at the Albuquerque Convention Center, 401 2nd Street NW, Albuquerque, NM.

Hyatt Regency Albuquerque
The conference host hotel is the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque, located at 330 Tijeras NW, Albuquerque, phone: 505-842-1234. The room rate for a single or double room is $129. Hotel tax is 12.75 percent. Check-in is 3:00pm and checkout is 12:00pm. This property is conveniently located just across the street from the convention center.
DoubleTree Hotel Albuquerque
The overflow hotel is the DoubleTree Hotel, located at 201 Marquette NW, Albuquerque, phone: 505-247-3344. A single room is $119, and a double room is $129. Check in is 3:00pm and checkout is 12:00pm. This property is conveniently located adjacent to the convention center.
You are strongly encouraged to use the official conference hotels. Please call them directly to make your hotel arrangements. Please call early, as you must make reservations by July 29, 2005, to receive the WAA conference discount rate. Please state that you are with the Western Arts Alliance when making your reservation. After our room block is sold out, available rooms will be sold at the market rate. Please do not hold rooms that you do not plan to use, as it takes away available rooms from other members.

Arriving by Car
Parking at the Hyatt is $8.00/day with no in-and-out privileges, or $11.00/day with in-and-out privileges. Please call the hotels directly for directions.

Accessibility All sessions at the WAA Conference are accessible to people with disabilities. The convention center is large and events may be rather far apart for people with mobility issues. Call the WAA staff at 503-274-4729 before the conference if you have concerns or need special assistance of any kind at the conference.
Climate and Dress
The average high temperature for September in Albuquerque is 81 degrees. The weather should be comfortable while we’re there, but do bring a sweater as convention centers and meeting rooms are usually cold. Business casual attire is appropriate for all WAA activities.
