WAA’s professional development program addresses these challenges by offering educational programs taught by leaders in the field on subjects that range from building critical core knowledge to finding new approaches, techniques, and tactics.

WAA's Professional Development Institute seeks to strengthen your ability to fulfill your organization’s mission, accomplish goals, and advance your career. This series of intensive workshops offers tools and techniques you can employ immediately to your work.

Numerous Roundtables, Workshops & Panels are scheduled throughout the conference week and are included in the price of registration. These sessions provide informal opportunities for delegates to openly discuss topical and discipline-based subjects. Peer-initiated roundtables are lead by conference delegates.

Inspired community activist Robert Egger will give this year's Keynote Address to kick off the conference. Speaking as the founder and president of D.C. Central Kitchen, his address will energize you with ideas on how to bring meaningful change to all our communities.
